Top Ten Ways to Use your Upcoming Vote to Punish your Children
I wrote this for the 2000 year elections, but considering all the hoopla about the 2008 Presidential race already under way, I thought it appropriate to share these now. I remain hopeful that someone somewhere might benefit from it, despite a decade of proof to the contrary.
1. Always view elections in term of the immediate present. After all, you are the one who has to live with who you vote for, right? Don’t let those “long-term vision” freaks get to you. The next four years is probably going to be the best four years of your life, and you don’t want to go through them knowing you supported a LOSER, do you?
Why you Should or Should Not Hire Me
You should hire me if…
- you are looking for someone who is talented and a quick learner.
- you are in need of a technical minded person.
- you appreciate ideas and creativeness as much as you appreciate quality work.
- you want a person you can trust to get a job done - someone you don’t have to watch every minute.
- you want an employee who cares about his work and what it represents to the firm.
- you are looking to grow a quality team with more quality people.
Brevard County Commissioner Helen Voltz has local Gadfly arrested
Our local paper did not cover this and I heard about this only after receiving an email from a friend about it. Here was his email:
Dear Brevard County Commission,
The arrest of Walter Pine at a commission meeting has come to my attention. It is documented in the video clips below.
I am ashamed of three members of my county commission, Helen Voltz, Ron Pritchard, and Jackie Colon. Sue Carlson was not there and Truman Scarborough tried to be reasonable but couldn’t even get a second.
Talk Radio
I like to listen to talk radio a lot. Probably more than is healthy. The following is a list of my favorite shows. I can’t say that I always agree with everything said by these folks, but I can certainly say they keep more informed as a citizen and challenge me to think.
